1. Information we collect
We collect your account information (name, email, profile photo) via Clerk, the child profiles you create (name, avatar, age group, birth year), the channels you approve, and watch activity reported by the Kidoo mobile app. We never collect this data directly from children.
2. How we use your information
Your data is used solely to operate Kidoo: authenticating you, storing your children's profiles and settings, syncing approved channels to their devices, and showing you analytics about their watch activity.
3. Child PINs
Child PINs are hashed with Argon2 before storage. We never store or display plain-text PINs, and support staff cannot view them.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only with the infrastructure providers required to run Kidoo (authentication, database, and hosting), each bound by their own data protection agreements.
5. Data retention
Deleting a child profile permanently removes their approved channels, watch history, favorites, and paired devices. Deleting your account removes all associated data.
6. Your rights
You can access, export, or delete your family's data at any time from the dashboard, or by contacting us at privacy@kidoo.app.
